In the hot Arizona desert sun swimming pool
pumps do stop working occasionally. The first
step to determining if your pump is really
broken is to check to see if the seal on the top is
snug against the pump housing. If there is a leak
in the seal then air will be getting in the pump
and this will cause your pump to stop working.

If your pump is running but causing more noise
then normally do not cover it up with a box,
blanket or container. This can cause the pump
to increase its likelihood of overheating which
can end up causing you more money when the
time comes to fix it.
